The Curator:

Blaire Summers: Blair Summers is an art historian, curator, and museum educator based in Oklahoma City. He recently completed his Master’s degree in Art History and Visual Culture at Lindenwood University, with research centered on dance performance and visual culture in Weimar Republic Germany. His background spans public programming, museum management, and arts education through roles at Oklahoma Contemporary, 21c Museum Hotel, and the Oklahoma History Center Museum. His work explores ways to make art, history, and critical conversation more accessible and engaging for diverse audiences.

The Artists:

Carle THE Artiste: Carle THE Artiste is an Afro-indigenous, gender-fluid artist based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has received: Associates of Fine arts (2019) and their Bachelors of Studio art (2023). They have been able to showcase their work and organize local community events to bring collectives of art enthusiasts in the Tulsa community together. Through their art they strive to stimulate healthy mental processing of topics such as love, queerness, trauma, and pain through bright, colorful, dream-like imagery. They currently work as a painting instructor for “Paint the Town” based in San Francisco and he plans to go back to school in Fall 2027.

Dylan Cale Jones: Dylan Cale Jones is an Oklahoma-based artist and educator making art about community, conflict, and interconnectedness. Jones completed their BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2011. In 2015 they earned their MFA through a funded fellowship at the Meadows School of the Arts in Dallas, Texas. They co-founded PracticePractice with a grant from The Andy Warhol Foundation and Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition. Jones is artist in residence at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center.

This event is free and open to the public.
