Dr. Mike Mather, emeritus professor of Biology at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, is back for a fourth installment of the “Fancy Firewood” sale in the institution’s Nesbitt Gallery June 10th and 11th, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM both days.

This exhibit features an array of original, fine woodworking —from elegant vases, dresser trays and jewelry boxes, to intricate sculptures, each representing a lifelong interest in the artform for Mather. Each piece will have a set price, and buyers can pick up their purchases after the second day of the exhibit. 100% of the proceeds will be donated: half going to the Mather Scholarship Fund, which focuses on student retention, with the other half supporting public art in the community.
