My name is Moussa Isamotu. I am an autodidact artist based in Edmond, Oklahoma, working with pyrography and painting on Ivorian wood. My Burkinabé, Nigerian, and Ivorian background informs my visual language.

Brief Artist Statement

I combine woodburning and painting on natural wood to create expressive figures and characters. The process is meditative and therapeutic, embracing imperfection, intuition, and handmade craft.
