OVAC believes that art is important to all communities and that Oklahoma should be a place where visual artists have what they need to thrive. OVAC aims to support and expand the visual arts community of Oklahoma by providing educational and financial opportunities to artists throughout each year, as well as other resources.

Visual arts events all around the state, available to anyone! View our calendar to get the latest on all that is happening in our community.

The Artist Survival Kit (ASK) offers professional development for Oklahoma artists. ASK provides artists with the necessary information to succeed in their careers and build a sense of community among diverse artists from across the state.

Do you have a large, public project you want to launch, but need some funds to make it happen? A fiscal sponsorship from OVAC allows you to use our 501(c)(3) status to solicit donations giving your donors the benefit of a tax receipt and allows you to apply for grants that require a 501(c)(3) status

OVAC artist grants help individual Oklahoma artists create visual art for public presentation, develop their professional practices, and lead community projects.

Each year, OVAC gives two awards of $5,000 each to individual artists. Additionally, two $500 Student Awards of Excellence are given.

These awards are intended to reward qualified artists with outstanding vision and are chosen by a guest curator from applications submitted by the artists.

OVAC's high school resource guide is a central, straight-forward, easy-to-access source of information about visual art opportunities for high school students in Oklahoma.
