Sara O'Keeffe

     Sara O'Keeffe is the Nancy E. Meinig Associate Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma. From 2013-2019, she worked at the New Museum in New York, where she was part of the curatorial teams that organized “Trigger: Gender as a Tool and a Weapon,” a group exhibition that investigated gender’s place in contemporary art and culture and “Triennial: Surround Audience,” a survey of early career artists that explored the effects of an increasingly connected world marked by corporate and governmental surveillance. She has curated and co-curated projects with artists Morgan Bassichis, A.K. Burns, Jeffrey Gibson, Ariel René Jackson, Carolyn Lazard, Tau Lewis, Sable Elyse Smith, and Christopher Udemezue, among others. Her writing has appeared in ArtReview, CURA, Mousse, OSMOS, and Topical Cream.
