Grace Deveney
Grace Deveney is the associate curator of Prospect.5 in New Orleans. Through this project, Deveney expands on the themes of the triennial by considering the ways the past remains palpable in liminal spaces such as airports, lighthouses, and churches, and the ways our actions in the present create new histories for these spaces. Deveney is the former assistant curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, where she curated several exhibitions including Groundings, MCA Screen: Paul Pfeiffer, and Out of Office as well as solo presentations of the work of Amanda Williams and Ania Jaworska. She has also served as a curatorial researcher at the Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Art History at Northwestern University.
