Porcelain Painting for Beginners: Wild Roses
3-Week Class: Tuesdays - October 29, November 5 & November 12, 5:30pm-8:30pm

Teacher: Peggy Dennis

$125

Porcelain is a fine art that was created in China in 620 A.D.. It is one of three types of ceramic ware, or fired-art, including earthenware and stoneware. There are many techniques and styles of painted porcelain. You will learn to paint in a traditional style with wild roses.

Classes and workshops take place at the World Organization of China Painters - Porcelain Art Museum that houses over 3,500 unique hand-painted porcelain items in the Collection. The Museum will be open for viewing during class hours. Tuition for the multi-week course includes one porcelain plate of your choosing, three firings and the use of classroom paints, brushes and other supplies. Painting with translucent colors requires multiple firings and thin layers of paint. Each week our expert teachers will fire all pieces following class in our on-site kilns to be ready to paint at your next class. Final fired pieces will be available for pickup beginning Thursday, November 14.

If one class is postponed due to weather or unforeseen instructor circumstances, we will have a rain date.

No painting experience needed.

Ages 18+
