Artist Statement
Painting is a very emotional experience for me. I first explore my subject mentally, visualizing how I will express the substance of the person, place or experience. Once an approach formulates, then the work begins... I usually work very quickly and often with multiple layers... I not only use traditional tools like brushes and knifes but sometimes, sticks, screws, straws and anything handy that will give an interesting texture or vibe.

Sheree has no formal training but paints daily studying nature and the works of great artists both past and present.
