Artist Statement
I'm very thankful I've been able to explore who I am as a visual artist by creating various abstract and collage pieces. Upon first beginning this journey it was most important to be free to express myself. After being able to express myself I soon discovered it is important to me to be able to communicate with the viewers. Collage creations allowed me to better reach the viewers as I began using words and positive affirmations.
There is no doubt that I will continue my adventure in discovering how best to express myself and reach the viewers.
Artist Bio
Patrick Bones aka Mztr Bonz is an Abstract Expressionist and Mixed-Media Artist. After earning three college degrees he toured numerous parts of the world as a classical and rock musician. He moved to Los Angeles in 2010.
Since returning to Tulsa in early 2020 he has enjoyed living in the downtown Tulsa Arts District while studying and improving his Abstract Expressive skills as well as curating a Pop-Up Art Gallery. He is an active member of Living Arts of Tulsa, The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, the Tulsa Artists Coalition, the Tulsa Arts District Business Association as well as numerous artistic social media groups. He is also proud to be registered Choctaw Artist.
He has enjoyed exhibiting his abstract creations and expressive collages at the Tulsa Arts District First Friday Art Crawls and continues to exhibit his creations along with other artists in a Pop-Up Art Gallery located in the Downtown Tulsa Arts District.
