My garden and the Oklahoma outdoors are my continual and ever-changing sources of inspiration.
Artist Statement
I am an artist and art teacher. My studio is a cozy and kind of messy place full of all kinds of interesting materials I enjoy working with. My garden and the Oklahoma outdoors are continual and ever-changing sources of inspiration for me. I sometimes paint with local red clay I have processed to watercolor.
Artist Bio
I live and work in my home town of Cushing, OK. I first studied abstraction from Brunel Faris at Oklahoma City University before studying with Marvin Saltzman at UNC Chapel Hill, where I began working mostly with printmaking. After finishing my MFA at the University of Wisconsin-Madison I returned to Oklahoma.
