I am enamored by identities. My work gives people a glimpse into experiences, memories of growing up in a different culture. The details of stories become the visual ingredients to a piece, and if done well, allows me to bring stories to life like a well executed recipe. I use bright, bold colors as a way to defy the stereotype that as an Asian American woman, I must be muted and passive.
