My plein air painting is a free and joyful experience. The fresh air, birds, tres, colors, streams, rocks, clouds -- all an orchestra of elements and compositions already arranged by our Creator me our enjoyment.
Artist Statement
I strive to capture the splendor and share God's beauriful gifts of nature and to express more than can be communicated in a photograph.
Artist Bio
My roots lays deep in Oklahoma soil. My great grandmother walked the Trail of Tears with the Cherokee from the Carolinas. It is my love of our rolling hills and prairies, soaring cloudscapes, flaming sunset, and wandering creek and rivers that draw me outdooes to paint. As a self taught artist I continue to learn from artists whose work I admire. These include Rick McC;ure, Phil Starke, Michael Malm, and Kelli Folsom. My works have shown in galleries and festivals around the state including The Dean LIvely Gallery in Edmond, The Artesian Gallery in Sulphur, and the Rusty Gable Gallery.
