My preserved moss art is meant to carry the viewer’s mind to places that are both ancient and new through a lush and timeless medium.
I fell in love with moss as a child, observing it along country roads, in forests, and even in the cracks of the sidewalk. When I see moss, my mind is transported to peaceful forests, cool caves and sheltered crags. Moss is an ancient lifeform, both fragile and enduring. It grows in areas which are considered almost uninhabitable…in remote forests, on mountains, and in cities. Wherever moss grows it brings vibrance and beauty. It is all at once revitalizing and comforting. I bring this ancient lifeform into my work in order share its vitality and inspiration with others. My preserved moss art is meant to carry the viewer’s mind to places that are at once ancient and new through a lush and timeless medium.
I was born in the beautiful mountains of Arkansas, but have called Oklahoma my home for most of my life. For 10 years, I was a part time jewelry artist and a volunteer in the public school system in northern Oklahoma where my daughter attended school. I am now a proud resident of Oklahoma City, and I absolutely love this vibrant place!
I have always been a creative person and have entertained many creative persuits throughout my life. My passion is preserved moss art, and I am excited to share this unique art form with everyone!
