Begging to push the boundaries of photography and with limited resources, I set out to utilize the only original thing I have -- my personal life experience.
Artist Statement
In my exploration of photography as an artistic medium, I found myself increasingly frustrated and limited by the immediately gratifying nature of the beast. Begging to push the boundaries of photography and with limited resources, I set out to utilize the only original thing I have -- my personal life experience. By choosing to tap into the deepest yearnings my heart, as a jumping-off point, I transform my virtual canvas into a one-of-a-kind masterpiece of my own imagining. Through this medium, I’ve fostered deeper connection with my audience through exploration of emotive experience and while offering a safe space for acknowledgment of similar experience.
