It's all about sky . . .
Artist Statement
Those of us who grew up on the Great Plains learned at a young age to keep our eye on the sky and our feet on the ground. We know the serenity that comes with seeing for miles in every direction, the marvel of a sunset that can set the sky on fire, the excitement of an afternoon thunderstorm, and the grace found in hard work and acts of goodwill. These are the simple themes that drive my landscape photographs.
Artist Bio
Kelly Langley, PhD is a native Oklahoman, retired educator, and member of the Chickasaw Nation. Her early interest in photography was rekindled while living in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah and exploring the wonders of our national parks. Dr. Langley’s award-winning images have been exhibited in museums, galleries, and juried competitions across the Southwest. Though many of her landscape photographs are reminiscent of her rural Oklahoma background, her portfolio reflects a wide range of subjects fostered by her keen interest in the world around us and her love of travel.
