Joanne Woodward is a self-taught artist. When a subject captures her feelings, she decides which medium will best reveal that look - Oil, Watercolor or Acrylic. Her passion is faces and expressions. She especially enjoys working with charcoal, graphite, and pastels which reveal not only depth of expression, but also bring out the life hidden inside. The work might show obvious feelings, or it might let the viewer decide what the expression is disclosing.
