Artist Statement
My current drive for creating is fueled by all the amazing architecture that can be found here in Tulsa. With a plethora of art-deco structures there is ample reason to be inspired. Not only do I enjoy the process of creating pieces relating to Tulsa architecture but also researching the various buildings’ history.
Artist Bio
I’m a graphic designer, screen printer & photographer based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was lucky enough to have been raised by artists who encouraged me to explore my passion for the arts at a very young age. I graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Arts with an emphasis on screen printing and photography from Midwestern State University in Texas. Since leaving Texas I’ve started a family, been a freelance photographer, worked for a design agency and played major roles in a few small screen printing companies. This path eventually led to me starting and co-owning the Tulsa based company Mythic Press. After helping to grow Mythic from a side project with one employee, to a full fledged kick ass apparel company occupying a 6,000 sq foot building, employing 15 creative people and selling merch out of 2 retail locations, I found myself spread thin and feeling more like a manager than an artist. In spring of 2020 I made the difficult decision to leave Mythic and go out on my own to begin work as a full time artist.
