Acrylic on canvas
Art is unmitigated expression. Through color and composition pure expression can be made. Some art can be faultless in its precision, while others find ways to revel in the impreciseness of life through art.
Artist Statement
Art is unmitigated expression. Even through untrained hands, the unrestricted feeling put onto canvas can resonate with viewers. Painting can realistically capture still life or people or many other subjects. Abstract painting capture emotion. Through color and composition pure expression can be made. Some art can be faultless in its precision, while others find ways to revel in the impreciseness of life through art.
Artist Bio
I became an artist during a particularly difficult time in my life. Through painting, I could express emotions in a way that enabled me to confront what I otherwise might not have been able to. Color, composition, and texture are my primary focus and I have learned to let the art flow freely and not get in my own way by overthinking the process. I believe everyone could benefit from making art and I hope some benefit from seeing my art as well.
