I want to make art that makes people learn through spectacle, helping to create bridges of understanding in a world that sometimes doesn’t quite understand other people easily.
Art, for me, is about listening and understanding rather than making bold pieces. There came a certain point in my life that, despite immersing myself in everything pop culture so as to understand my peers, the effort to really learn what makes people tick stopped with most adults my age and older. The ability to learn is still there but if not easily presented, why should the effort be made? That's why the art I make features some element of human existence, it’s far more valuable for me to present something that will either anger or excite, bore or engage someone's idea of what it is to exist for just a moment rather than looking something that provides the same level of emotion as a blank canvas.
