My outlet when I was a child was pop culture. Due to the fact that I wasn't much of a chatty person nor knew how to express myself, I really enveloped myself into movies, books, video games and art.
Despite the fact that most of my art spans wide fields in composition and medium, I always try to make sure the colors spark off the page to communicate some unknown message to the viewer. I want to make art that gives a sense of wonder to people like I got when I was young.
Cable Jacobsen is a Hispanic Artist who loves to seek out the oddities of people's hopes, dreams, fears, and fascinations and seeks to transform that into art. Traveling all around the country, he graduated from SWOSU in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. Balancing an addiction to all things pop culture, Cable uses those influences to spark a sense of joy, wonder and oddity into the pieces he creates. While he wishes to make art every waking moment of the day, he also can't get enough of his cat and dog.
