Mixed 2D, Printmaking

I approach each monoprint as a great experiment; the damp clay slab almost has a mind of its own producing wonderful visual surprises.

Artist Statement

Color and Shape: I begin each print by arranging and layering them. They are the elements of design that I find most visually interesting. Then I use line and texture to establish unity in the composition. I approach each monoprint as a great experiment; the damp clay slab almost has a mind of its own producing wonderful visual surprises.

Artist Bio

Art is a passion that I have embraced even when my formal education and occupations were concentrated in other areas. My pursuit of this passion has been through classes and workshops in acrylic, watercolor, collage, printmaking, and ceramics, in that order. I used the techniques of each medium to build on the next, and now incorporate multiple techniques into my clayprints.
