Don Emrick received his MA in Journalism and Mass Communication from OU in 1987 and has spent over 20 years as a professional photographer in the Tulsa area. IN addition he teaches at Rogers State University and at Tulsa Community College. He is also active in the arts community, having exhibited his work over the years in solo and group shows: most recently, IAO's "24 Works on Paper" exhibit. Emrick is on the Board of Directors for the Tulsa Artists' Coalition, Local Art Matters, and the Blue Dome Arts Festival in Tulsa. His artwork encompasses and blends not only traditional photographic processes, but also alternative techniques and digital media. "I view my work as a continual exploration of photography and digital art, not only in relation to each other, but also in the concepts and contexts of the visual environment around us."
