Oklahoma Artists Bring “Flora & Fauna” Exhibit to Paseo
A Benefit for the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition

Fifteen artists are bringing the greens indoors for an art exhibition at AKA Gallery in Oklahoma City’s historic Paseo Arts District. Benefitting the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC), the exhibition opening will be held Friday, July 3 from 6-10 pm during the Paseo District’s First Friday Gallery Walk. The exhibition is curated by Jennifer Barron and will feature artwork in a variety of media from Oklahoma artists, all exploring the “Flora & Fauna” of the natural world through their own artistic eye.

Artists were selected from OVAC’s online Virtual Gallery (www.ovacgallery.com) and include: Kristy Lewis Andrew (Tulsa), Joanne DeShong (Tahlequah), Joey Frisillo (Sand Springs), Bob Hawks (Tulsa), Janet Shipley Hawks (Tulsa), Samantha Lamb (Hobart), Debby Kaspari (Norman), Marsha Mahan (OKC), Glenda Mullins (OKC), Regina Murphy (OKC), Lori Oden (OKC), Carl Shortt (OKC), Sharon Webster (Edmond), Betty Wood (Norman), and Elia Woods (OKC).

Admission to the opening reception is free. A percentage of art sales will benefit OVAC. The exhibition will also be open for viewing on Saturday, July 4 from noon-5 pm. AKA Gallery is located at 3001 Paseo. For more information, please call 405-879-2400.
