February 22, 2012: Residency finalists notified
March 7-9, 2012: Residency finalist artists' studio visits
August 1, 2012, 5 pm: Survey and Focus exhibition entry deadline
September 1, 2012: Accepted Survey Artists and Focus Artist Finalists notified
September, 2012: Focus Artist Finalist Studio Visits
November 30, 2012: Residency projects could begin on site
December 1, 2012: Survey and Focus Artwork delivered to gallery
December 14, 2012: Patron previews of galleries and studios begin
December 16, 2012-February 16, 2013: Exhibition open to the public
Eligibility:
Visual artists working in all media are eligible to submit, from studio art media to film, installation and new media. OVAC supports artworks and projects in direct dialogue with the visual arts. Applicants cannot be enrolled as degree-seeking art students. The exhibition is open to artists 21 years or older who reside in Oklahoma at the time of application and throughout the exhibition. Collaborative or collective artwork submissions are welcome if all participating artists are eligible.
Project partners include the Hardesty Arts Center and Charlotte Street Foundation in Kansas City. Major project support for this exhibition is committed from the National Endowment for the Arts and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
