The VisionMakers exhibit was created to spotlight excellence by Oklahoma artists who specialize in sculpture, 3D mixed media and high craft. For each VisionMakers exhibition, a new curator is chosen to select the art and the work is exhibited in a different venue around the state.
The next VisionMakers will be held March 23 - April 30, 2009 at 611 Creative in Oklahoma City. An opening reception will be on March 28, 2009, 7-9pm, with a curator's talk at 6pm.
The VisionMakers 2009 curator is Judith Schwartz, Ph.D. Schwartz is the Head of the Sculpture: Craft Media Area at New York University. She is a critic, curator and author of national and international articles on contemporary craft issues.
