Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
As a local business, amshot typically focuses on IT services and software development, but our team is also passionate about supporting the local art community. With this in mind, we created exhibITion to promote local artists, give back to our community, and enjoy the company of fellow art-lovers.Three times per year, we feature a local artist’s work on our office walls, host an art exhibition and sale, invite a local brewery, serve wine and hors d’oeuvres, and donate the proceeds of the event to a charitable organization.

The art show is hosted at amshot’s office in Downtown OKC. Admission to the gallery is free, but those 21+ can donate $5 to the featured charitable organization in exchange for a wristband that will allow them beer from the featured local brewery and wine. Light hors d’oeuvres are also served. All art displayed will be for sale and can be purchased with card or cash. The sold and unsold art will then hang in amshot’s office until the next exhibITion for all to enjoy.

    • First Bethany Bank

First Bethany Bank has recently started a Community Art Initiative to spruce up our boring bank walls and tables, and add a local community component. We won’t be selling art, but giving local Oklahoman artists a free place to display their piece(s), with a simple plaque for their name and contact info. We cannot guarantee that anyone would follow the contact info to buy art, but we hope so! We will display the piece for a few months and then return it and rotate to another artist. We welcome both wall art and small 3D items that can sit on tables we have in several seating areas around the bank. We have such a diverse community in OKC and it is our mission to bring that diversity a little closer to our clients. We hope to support many local artists by providing this opportunity in the years to come, particularly minorities.

If you are interested, please call Alissa at First Bethany Bank 405-789-1110 or email alissa@integritywealthok.com

    • Philbrook Museum of Art

Explore the captivating world of oil painting while drawing inspiration from Philbrook’s ever-growing botanical collection. This introductory course is designed for individuals with little or no prior experience in oil painting. The class will be working with specially sourced nontoxic oil paints and odorless mediums to explore color theory, mixing, value, composition and more. Delve into artistic concepts and techniques unique to this medium under the guidance of professional painter Cheryl Capps Roach. The instructor will break down the basics to provide a deeper understanding of how to interpret a three-dimensional floral still life onto a two dimensional canvas. The final class will culminate in a celebratory event, allowing students to invite friends and family to view their botanically inspired works of art.

Join us for a two-day workshop with the talented Mike Henry! For the past 15 years, he has come to Creede, Colorado, to assist the infamous painter Stephen Quiller, with his popular workshops. After 18 years as a professional artist, taking techniques from years with Stephen and refining his own methods, he has a career to be very proud of, with publications including Splash 20: Creative Composition and Splash 19: The Illusion of Light.

Terra Rosa Art Gallery is proud to host such an established artist. The workshop will be two seven-hour days, broken up into three-hour sessions with an hour lunch break. This course is open to all levels. If you are a beginner, we ask that you come 30 minutes before class starts so Mike can show you the basics of applying paint. This course will be demonstrated in watercolor but will teach you how to create harmonious colors within any medium. Color theory is often overlooked and underrated, so learn how to manipulate your work with the power of color.
